Welcome... GAI Incorporated's History

GAI is a small business incorporated in 1971. GAI's early business activities were concentrated in the United States and were built on numerous contracts with the U.S. military in command, control, and intelligence applications, with particular emphasis upon Navy Worldwide Military Command and Control Systems. By the end of the seventies, GAI's business extended throughout the United States. This included support to two state governments in application development and facilities management support to two military computer centers. Additionally, GAI was a major member of GCOS (Honeywells) operating system development teams in Phoenix, Arizona. GAI also began its twenty plus years of uninterrupted military automated logistics systems development work supporting Lockheed Aircraft Services in Ontario, California.

In the eighties, GAI expanded into the international market building on its logistics systems development expertise through contracts with Lockheed Aircraft Services supporting the Imperial Iranian Air Force in Tehran, Iran and the Royal Saudi Air Force is Riyadh and Jeddah Saudi Arabia. Concurrently, GAI expanded its domestic federal government client base to include a five year office automation contract for the Defense Communications Agency and a business and scientific programming contract for the Department of Energy at the Argonne National Labs. In 1981, GAI began its twenty years continuous prime contractor relationship with Kelly Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, with IBM systems programmers. Additionally, GAI added new commercial clients in California, Washington, Arizona, New Mexico and Illinois. For example, GAI designed, developed and deployed its first network providing a telecommunications network for Blue Cross/Blue Shield between plans in the United States and Canada.

In the nineties, GAI continued to expand its business base in logistics systems development, network design, installation and administration and Command and Control systems support. GAI was responsible for the Chief Naval Operations (CNOs) access to the Worldwide Military Command and Control System (WWMCCS) and Joint Operations and Planning & Executive System (JOPES). We were responsible for Local and Wide Area Networking (LAN/WAN) design, installation and administration for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Fort Worth, Texas, for the United States Air Force at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio, Kelly Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas and Warner Robins Air Force Base, Georgia and for numerous commercial clients. GAI continued its automated logistics development throughout the decade at Kelly Air Force Base, Texas, developing legacy systems and subsequently planning for and implementing the migration of these systems to client server and ultimately web based environments.

Looking ahead to the next thirty years of its existence, GAI is focused on strengthening and expanding its networking and automated logistics systems expertise. In addition, GAI has expanded into web page development, e-commerce solutions, and systems security architecture through contracts with James Martin Intelligence, United States Air Force, LyonsEscape.com, and Xpress Shops.com. To strengthen our capabilities, GAI has become an Oracle Partner, a Microsoft Certified Solutions Provider, and an AMP Certified Network Designer and Installer. GAI plans to become a Cisco reseller in the near future.
